Ohio casino dealer accused of skimming pot says he’s innocent at least 14 times despite being caught on video

A former casino dealer in Ohio has been accused of skimming the pot more than a dozen times this summer.

The extent to which the former poker room dealer at the JACK Cleveland Casino is accused of theft is not stated in the lawsuits.

The 51-year-old man from North Olmsted, Ohio, pleaded not guilty Nov. 15 to violating casino gambling laws and theft. He must appear in court again in early December for a new hearing.

A message seeking comment was left with his lawyer on Monday.

Authorities began investigating after a poker player accused the dealer of stealing from the stack of chips wagered during a hand in September, according to records from the Ohio Casino Control Commission, which regulates casinos and investigates gambling crimes.

The casino reviewed the video and found other instances where he stole from the table, according to the committee. He was fired a day later. Court records show he has been charged with theft 14 times since early August.
