Oklahoma voters line up for the third day of early voting

Voters line up for the third day of early voting in Oklahoma before the general election next week.

The polling stations will open on Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday they will open for a final time from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Nearly a quarter of a million people from across the state have already cast their ballots, and that number is expected to increase.

This year, every seat in the U.S. House of Representatives is up for a vote, including four of the five seats in Oklahoma. The fifth is held by Rep. Frank Lucas, who is running unopposed.

News 9 spoke with voters who waited in line for hours to exercise their right.

“I think it’s really important that people my age understand how important voting in general is,” said voter Mackenzie Guzman. “There is no better way to show this than early voting.”

In Oklahoma County, voters can cast their ballots at two locations. The first is at the Oklahoma County Election Board at 4201 Lincoln Boulevard in Oklahoma City, and the second is at the Multi-Activity Center in 2733 Marilyn Williams Drive in Edmond.

Make sure you have your ID with you when you come to vote. If you are unsure of your registration status, you can check by visiting the Oklahoma Voter Portal here.
