Olivia Rodrigo confirms she is doing well after a fall during the concert in Melbourne

Olivia Rodrigo wasn’t kidding about going down under with her Guts World Tour.

During her Oct. 13 concert in Melbourne, the “Vampire” singer unexpectedly took a brutal fall as thousands of adoring fans screamed in shock. Rodrigo was running around greeting fans in the crowd when she started sprinting to another side of the stage without looking – and just like that, she disappeared from view and fell into a hole in the stage floor.

According to fan-captured footage of the moment, Rodrigo was able to catch himself and bounced back like a champ.

“Oh my God! That was fun,” she said, emerging from the lowered platform. “I’m fine!”

She climbed all the way out and continued to make light of the stumbling, joking, “Sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage.” Okay, where was I? How are you tonight, Melbourne?

Rodrigo kept the jokes going on social media, where she joined in on TikTok’s “subtle foreshadowing” trend with an edit highlighting her sudden fall from the stage. And in case fans are still worried, she also reassured everyone with a comment below the video, writing, “I’m fine haha” with a heart emoji.

Meanwhile, fans didn’t hold back when it came to turning her lyrics into puns. “That was a bad idea, right?” one user wrote, while another joked: “Always one step forward and three steps down.”

Taking an accidental dip wasn’t the only dramatic moment during Rodrigo’s final concert. On

In one instance, the “Brutal” singer had a brief wardrobe malfunction where a bracelet got stuck in her hair mid-choreography, allowing her to continue singing despite the awkward position. In the other situation, Rodrigo’s hair gets tangled in her microphone, causing more than a few strands to be pulled out at a time.

Despite those brief hiccups, the singer has had enormous success with her latest concert series. Rodrigo’s Guts tour, in support of her second album of the same name, kicked off in February 2024 and will run until March 2025. Support so far has included the Breeders, Remi Wolf and fellow seismic pop star Chappell Roan.

As for those who can’t attend her shows, Rodrigo has confirmed that fans can celebrate the Guts tour from the comfort of their own homes: Earlier this month, she announced that a Guts concert special will debut on Netflix on October 29.

“I am so excited to share the GUTS World Tour with my fans,” Rodrigo said in the initial announcement. “For those of you who didn’t get a chance to rock out in person, now you can have the best seats in the house! And to the fans who cheered, screamed and danced with me, I’m so happy we get to do it all again!”
