Paul Teal‘s loved ones share more about his tragic death.

According to the late One Tree Hill partner of alum Emilia TorelloPaul died at age 35, seven months after being diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer in April, she told TMZ.

“He was the most talented man I ever met,” Emilia added, listing her as Paul’s fiancée. “Once he set his mind to something, there was no stopping him. He was the most diligent and dedicated person. I truly believed with all my heart that he would come out the other side because of those qualities. That makes this loss even more tragic.”

Emilia also shared that Paul had filmed a new series for Starz amid his battle with cancer, titled The hunting womennoting that being with the cast and crew helped encourage him amid his health issues.

Emilia confirmed that Paul had passed away in a post dated November 17, writing about her late love: ‘Paul, you were my soulmate, my husband-to-be, my rock and my future. You filled my lungs with laughter, my stomach with butterflies and my heart with love. You were taken too soon, in a battle that you fought bravely without fail.
