One TTUN player quit the team and likely won’t play on the Ohio State football team again

The Ohio State football team is fully prepared to take on TTUN in The Game this weekend. We know the injuries they are dealing with on the offensive line. Furthermore, everyone should be ready, unless something happens in practice in the coming days.

Michigan is not the same. They have injuries to Colston Loveland and Will Johnson. These two guys are their best offensive and defensive players respectively. Loveland is doing his best to bounce back and will likely play. The same cannot be said of Johnson.

Johnson has missed the last four games due to a toe injury. Initially, TTUN expected to have him back before the end of the season. It appears Johnson has milked his injury as a reason to close this one out before the NFL Draft begins. It doesn’t appear he will play against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

To be fair, it looks like Johnson is quitting TTUN. He wants to protect his draft stock and not worry about playing the rest of his team’s games. It reminds me of what Jaxon Smith-Njigba did with the Buckeyes a few years ago. He shut it down when he could have come back.

In both cases, these guys leave their team high and dry. What JSN did was arguably worse since Ohio State had a chance to win a national championship. Still, Johnson still has a chance to go out with another win against the Buckeyes. Not only that, but he also has a chance to show he can shut down Jeremiah Smith, which would further increase his draft stock.

Instead, it seems like he’s afraid to take on Smith. Smith probably would have dominated him anyway. He dominated every other corner he faced this season. I expect it will be no different on Saturday.
