KENNESAW, Ga. – One of the most anticipated home games in Kennesaw State men’s basketball history has arrived, as the Owls are set to take the national stage when they host No. 24 Rutgers on Sunday afternoon. The game starts at 1:00 PM at the Convocation Center and will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.

A FEW NOTES
♦ The Scarlet Knights will be the first-ever ranked team to visit the Convo, while it will also be the first-ever regular season game to be nationally broadcast from the Convocation Center.
♦ The Owls are looking for their first-ever win over a ranked team. They are 0-16 all-time against teams in the AP Top 25. The last ranked team they played was No. 13 Xavier, a 71-67 loss in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Here’s the second time KSU has played the No. 24 team in the country, the first being against No. 24 Texas Tech on December 13, 2017, an 82-53 loss in Lubbock.
♦ The Owls are flying in Coach Pettway’s second year with the Black and Gold as they currently rank 12th in the nation in scoring at 91.4 points per game. KSU also owns the boards and ranks second in rebounds per game (47.4) and seventh in rebound margin (+14.2). From three-point land, KSU ranks 15th in three-point field goals made per game (11.2).
♦ KSU is 1-43 all-time against teams currently in the Power Four conferences. The lone win over Georgia Tech by a score of 80-63 on Nov. 15, 2010 was the last time the Yellow Jackets made the trip to Kennesaw.
♦ This is the fourth straight year KSU has faced a Big Ten team, following Nebraska (2021-22) and Indiana (2022-23 and 2023-24). KSU is 0-12 all-time against the Big Ten.
