It wasn’t just San Diego Padres left fielder Jurickson Profar who had to deal with objects thrown at him by fans in the stands at Dodgers Stadium during Sunday night’s Game 2 NLDS game.

His teammates in the bullpen were dealing with their own situation as play was halted late in the game.

As fan videos of the wild scene before the seventh inning continue to surface on social media, one showed the moment beer was thrown at players in the Padres’ bullpen as security and officials tried to figure out what happened to Profar on the field . as several balls and beer cans were thrown at him.

The Padres bullpen was standing near the fence trying to see what was going on with Profar when a staff member could be seen staring at the crowd. That’s when she pointed and warned left-hander Adrian Morejon that an object was coming their way.

After dodging it, tempers began to flare as right-handed pitcher Jeremiah Estrada and others in San Diego’s bullpen yelled at the fans in the stands.

Luckily nothing else was thrown their way, but the game came to a complete standstill at this point as San Diego manager Mike Shildt took the field to find out what was happening between his players and the fans.

This is a heated rivalry in the NL West, but MLB never wants to see these types of interactions between players and fans.

Tension was certainly high at the game on the field, especially the inning before, when Dodgers pitcher Jack Flaherty and Padres third baseman Manny Machado exchanged unpleasant things from the dugout and the field, respectively.

But it got to the point where play had to stop as security, officials and Padres players converged on the field to ensure safety before play resumed postseason.

In the Padres bullpen video, you can also hear the Dodger Stadium announcer pleading with fans to stop throwing objects on the field as it is a direct cause for ejection.
