Australia’s Madison de Rosario is the silver medalist in the women’s T54 marathon.

US Susannah Scaroni gets bronze.

The Sydneysider was part of a three-woman chase group for most of the race, but with two kilometres to go, De Rozario and Scaroni pulled away from China. Zhou Zhaoqian.

Debrunner was simply too good and it is still hard to believe that she won a medal in every event from the 100 metres to the marathon in Paris, winning five golds and one silver!

At the 40 km mark they were just over four minutes behind Debrunnerso we’ll see them racing to the finish line soon.

Catherine Debrunner completed an extraordinary Paralympic campaign, with a great performance by winning the women’s T54 marathon in a time of 1:41:50.

The Swiss star led from start to finish and was in complete control as she extended her lead over the field throughout the race.

And she has proven that she is currently the most formidable wheelchair racer in the world.

In Paris she won six medals, five of them gold, and she stood on the podium in all her events, from the 100 meters to the marathon.

There are only seven kilometers left to go in the women’s T54 marathon and DeBrunner is still on a great pace – she has a lead of 4:07.

Marcel Hug delivers another dominant performance by winning the men’s T54 marathon in Paris.

Hug had a 10-second lead halfway through the race, but extended his lead even further in the second half.

He stopped the clock in 1:27.39, finishing outside the Australian Kurt Fearnleys Paralympic record (1:23.17).

The Swiss has now won three consecutive gold medals in the men’s T54 marathon.

In total, he has won seven gold medals at the Paralympic Games during his amazing career.

The silver went to China Jin Hua (1:31.19), while Japan Tomoki Suzuki (1:31.23) won bronze.

Winner of T12 silver medal in Tokyo men’s marathon Jaryd Clifford decided not to participate in the event in Paris.

He only competed in the 1500m and 5000m, but missed out on medals in both events. in difficult circumstances.

Para-athletics: Debrunner maintains excellent form until halfway

Swiss superstar Catherine Debrunner shows no signs of slowing down in the women’s T54 marathon.

At each checkpoint her lead increases, halfway through her lead is 2:01.

The good news is that the Australian is the reigning champion Madison from Rosario is still in that group of three that is chasing, next to Susannah Scaroni And Zhou Zhaoqian.

And that trio has a big lead over the rest of the field, so it looks like the medals will be decided by that quartet.

Para-athletics: Debrunner pushes ahead at 15km

Debrunner has almost doubled her lead since the last checkpoint, she is 1:12 ahead of from Rosario, Scorpio And Zhou in the women’s marathon T54.

After that it is Tatjana McFadden And Manuela SchΓ€r,who are 2:24 behind the leader.

De Rozario will have to do something soon to stay in touch with Debrunner.

Halfway through the Men’s Marathon T54, Switzerland Marcel Hug had a 10 second lead over China Jin Hua.

Japanese Tomoki Suzuki was one minute and seven seconds behind Hug in third place.

The athletes passed through the 10km checkpoint and Debrunner now has a lead of 39 seconds.
