Patrick Mahomes’ mother wears a MAGA hat at Chiefs’ MNF game in support of Donald Trump

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi, made a political statement Monday night during the Chiefs’ Week 9 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Randi, wearing a “Make American Great Again” hat, sent a message in a video on social media: “Make American Great Again, let’s do it.”

Although Patrick Mahomes declined to endorse any candidate this election cycle, his family — and other members of the Chiefs organization — have not shied away from revealing their political views.

“I don’t want my seat and my platform to be used to support any candidate or do anything,” Mahomes said earlier this year. “I think my job is to inform people that they need to register to vote. It’s to inform people so they can do their own research and then make the best decision for them and their family.”

While Patrick Mahomes was taking that stance, his wife, Brittany, appeared to like an Instagram post in support of Trump. She called out the ‘haters’ after receiving criticism for it.

“To be a hater as an adult, you must have some deep-seated issues that you have refused to heal from childhood,” said a post on Brittany Mahomes’ Instagram Story. “There’s no reason why your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”

In addition to Brittany’s involvement in the election, Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker publicly endorsed Trump at a Josh Hawley for Senate event in October.

“I support the president who will be the most pro-life president,” Butker said. “It is a topic that is the most crucial topic for me. I want us to fight for the most vulnerable, fight for the unborn.

“That’s what we need to prioritize and that’s clearly what Senator Hawley does as a man of faith. You should vote for the one who is most pro-life. We need to be prayerful people who put God first and I think that is true. what is best for our country.”

On the other hand, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president on her Instagram.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” Swift wrote. “I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes that I believe need a fighter to defend them. I think she is a steadfast, gifted leader and I believe we can achieve so much more in this country if we are guided by calm and not chaos. I was so encouraged and impressed by her selection of running mate Tim Walz, who has been advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.

The elections will take place on Tuesday.
