The Spanish government has declared three days of mourning after flash floods in the eastern part of the country killed at least 70 people.

Officials say heavy rains that started on Tuesday and continued overnight flooded villages, closed roads and caused telecommunications problems. There are reports of flooding in southern and eastern Spain.
