Buyers were quick to report that the PS5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle sold out within minutes of pre-orders going live on PlayStation Direct in the UK, frustrating many who had already visited the site and queued beforehand.

And now, there are multiple listings for the PS5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle on eBay, with buyers asking for up to £10,000.

These scalpers don’t have their hands on the PS5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle. Instead, they’re selling their successful pre-orders. But there are already dozens of listings for the bundle on eBay from scalpers hoping to take advantage of its limited availability. The situation is so bad that there are counter-listings on eBay warning buyers not to pre-order from the scalpers.

Even the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle, which had fewer restrictions than the PS5 Pro version, has sold out, leading to massive online sales.

The situation echoes scalping four years ago when the PlayStation 5 went on sale, and Sony seemed just as powerless to prevent it then as it does now. Of course, the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection doesn’t come out until November 21, so Sony and auction sites like eBay still have time to intervene, but neither company has announced plans to do so.
