The offensive line is playing well, the running game is coming off its best performance of the season and the defense has shown its ability to control the Scarlet Knights’ ground game. Kyle Monangai, Rutgers’ talented running back who enters the week second in Big Ten rushing, was a non-factor last year when the two teams played, but it’s hard for me to imagine lightning striking twice for UW’s defense . Wisconsin did absolutely everything it could against Purdue last week to demonstrate progress and shake off the “it’s just Purdue” caveat, and yet I’m still stuck there. On the road against a decent foe in a sneakily crucial game for the team’s hopes of a record above .500, I’m still not rather a believer. Rutgers 28, Wisconsin 20.
