Announcing the promotions, the firm’s managing partner Sherbir Panag said: “Vidhi Khanijow and JS Bhullar are phenomenal lawyers and have been instrumental to the firm and our clients’ success. It remains one of my greatest honors to be in the trenches with them defending our clients and to have a front-row seat to witness their brilliant advocacy in action. They represent the first of our partner track, which includes a deep bench of exceptional talent.

Congratulations also to our new senior associates who are the future guardians of Panag & Babu’s legacy. Each of them reflects our core values of quality, integrity and exceptional advocacy, and most importantly, the trust of our clients.”

JS Bhullar holds a law degree from the University of Delhi Law School and has conducted several large internal investigations covering multiple countries for a wide range of manufacturing companies. These cases, primarily for Fortune 500 and DAX 40 companies, involved complex interactions with domestic and foreign laws relating to bribery, fraud and money laundering. JS Bhullar has served on the Bureau of Indian Standards committee to formulate an Indian anti-corruption standard, has been seconded to a DAX 40 financial institution and was a critical member of the P&B team that secured two dismissals from the US SEC.

Vidhi Khanijow also holds a law degree from the University of Delhi Law School and has acted in several contentious regulatory matters relating to financial institutions before the RBI, SEBI, Hong Kong SFC, US SEC and the UK FCA. These matters ranged from loan impairment to falsification of accounts and violation of Indian securities laws. P&B also announced the promotions of Riya Kalra, Saksham Kumar, Srishti Gupta, Rashi Verma and Shaurvi Kapur to senior associate positions in its Complex Disputes & International Arbitration and Governance, Investigations and White Collar Crime Defence practices.

Samudra Sarangi, Senior Partner and Chair of the Complex Disputes & International Arbitration practice group, added: “We are excited and extremely proud to welcome Jaskaran and Vidhi to our partnership. Their journey from associates to partners embodies our firm’s commitment to nurturing talent internally and finding our future partners in the process.

Our senior associates are the guardians of future partnerships. Congratulations to all the new promoters and I wish everyone the very best for their next role.”
