Ukraine are still bottom of the table but have some momentum now and are just three points behind leaders Georgia with three games to play, so promotion is certainly a possibility.

The Blue and Yellows took part in the Euro 2024 finals but failed to progress past the group stage of the competition, finishing bottom of Group E despite having the same number of points (four) as section winners Romania.

Ukraine were unbeaten in four matches with the Czech Republic before losing 3-2 to their opponents in September, and now they will look to build on a strong performance against Georgia.

Czech Republic suffered a 4-1 defeat to Georgia in their section opener, but managed to bounce back against Ukraine four days later, running out 3-2 winners to reach three points from two games.

Ivan Hasek‘s team then recorded a 2-0 victory over Albania on Friday evening Tomas Chory a brace to secure the crucial three points, leaving them in second place, level on six points with leaders Georgia.

The Czech Republic also played at Euro 2024 but failed to reach the group stage of the tournament, finishing bottom of Group F, which also included Portugal, Turkey and Georgia.

Hasek’s side competed in Division A of the last Nations League but were relegated to fourth place, so promotion to the top tier will certainly be on their minds for this campaign.

A successful 2024 has seen the Czech Republic win six of their 10 matches so far, and they will be aiming for another win here ahead of their final two section games against Albania and Georgia next month.

We say: Ukraine 1-1 Czech Republic

This is a really tough match to play, with both sides recording impressive wins last time out. The Czech Republic have overshadowed their match in September, but we expect a very exciting match on Monday, with the points potentially being shared.
