    Purdue quarterbacks Ryan Browne, Hudson Card available vs. Oregon

    WEST LAFAYETTE – Ryan Browne should have the Purdue Football quarterback position to himself against No. 2 Oregon as the Boilermakers’ incumbent starter remains sidelined.

    Hudson Card is listed as unavailable on Purdue’s Big Ten-mandated status report. He missed last week’s 50-49 overtime loss at Illinois while in concussion therapy.

    Browne threw for 297 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 118 in Card’s place. Purdue coach Ryan Walters said earlier this week that Browne would start against the Ducks regardless of Card’s status.

    Purdue won’t play next week. While the symptoms of a concussion can be wildly unpredictable, Card will have extra time to get cleaned up ahead of a Nov. 2 home game against Northwestern.

    Walters said Monday that both quarterbacks could play as soon as Card is deemed available.
