Qualifying tournaments for the 2026 FIFA World Cup

A year after the two sides clashed in Mato Grosso, Venezuela and Brazil will meet again heading into the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

All ten CONMEBOL teams vying for a spot at the next World Cup will be back in action during the November international break. After securing back-to-back wins for the first time since September 2023, the Seleção will be looking to add another three points to their campaign against a Venezuela team that is winless in their last five matches.

However, both teams are dealing with significant injuries that could impact the final result. Yordan Osorio, Jhon Chancellor and Teo Quintero are all missing from La Vinotinto’s squad. Meanwhile, Dorival Júnior is without Neymar, Alisson, Rodrygo, Éder Militão and Bremer.

Still, with the likes of Vinícius Júnior and Salomón Rondón on the pitch, the match promises goal-scoring action that fans won’t want to miss.

Last meeting: Brazil 1–1 Venezuela (12 October 2023) – 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier
