The Longhorns are no longer undefeated.

No. 1 Texas couldn’t overcome a poor first-half performance against No. 5 Georgia on Saturday night, losing by a final score of 30-15.

Quinn Ewers had turnover issues all game, as he threw an interception and fumbled the ball twice in the first quarter.

The Longhorns fell into an early 20-0 hole with Ewers in the game, prompting head coach Steve Sarkisian to briefly insert backup Arch Manning into the game. Manning also couldn’t get a rhythm in the pocket against Georgia’s defense, completing three of his six throws for 19 yards.

Ewers ultimately was reset into the match to start the second half. He finished 25 of 43 for 211 yards and two touchdowns to go along with three turnovers as fans booed his struggles.

I’ve seen enough of Quinn Ewers over the past two seasons to know he’s not really a man. Arch Manning is the better player’s man. It’s that clear!

Georgia scored a touchdown early in the fourth quarter to push the lead to double figures again, sealing the victory.

The Bulldogs overcame a subpar performance from Carson Beck, who passed for just 175 yards and threw three interceptions.

In addition to Ewers, fans criticized the team as a whole.

It’s hard to blame the defense when the only scores come from the offense, which gave Georgia the damn ball in the redzone

Texas and Georgia now own identical 6-1 records after Saturday’s result.
