Quinshon Judkins or Ollie Gordon II? Top 2025 NFL Draft Prospects by Position, RB Edition

Is Quinshon Judkins or Ollie Gordon II the best running back in the 2025 NFL Draft?

Ohio State finds itself in one of the most unique positions in all of college football… could the Buckeyes land the first two tailbacks off the board when the 2025 NFL Draft rolls around?

Most expected Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson to be the first running back taken off the board in the 2024 NFL Draft, had he declared. However, Henderson announced he would return to Columbus for one more season, and just weeks later, the man considered by many to be the best halfback in all of college football, Quinshon Judkins, left Ole Miss and hit the transfer market before landing at Ohio State.

Will playing Judkins and Henderson together help or hurt their chances of earning a spot in the 2025 NFL Draft?

NFL Draft Running Back Rankings for the 2025 Season

  1. Quinshon Judkins (Ohio State) — Quinshon Judkins is being considered the best tailback in college football heading into 2024. It appears the only thing that can stop Quinshon Judkins from becoming the first RB off the board in 2025 is teammate TreVeyon Henderson stealing his touches this season.
  2. Ollie Gordon II (Oklahoma State) — Ollie Gordon appears to have the best chance to overtake Quinshon Judkins as the first RB selected in next April’s draft. The favorite of many pundits to win the Heisman Trophy heading into 2024, Ollie Gordon II is sure to put up generational numbers this season… health permitting.
  3. Ashton Jeanty (Boise State) — One of the biggest wild cards heading into 2024 is Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty. The top receiving back in the draft isn’t just a third-down expert, but a true three-down back who just happens to be his team’s best receiver.
  4. Raheim Sanders (South Carolina) — If you’re a defensive back with South Carolina on your roster in 2024, good luck tackling Rocket Sanders. Not quite Derrick Henry, but who is? Rocket might be the closest thing to the former Alabama product we’ve ever seen (style-wise). At just over 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds, Mr. Sanders isn’t someone you want running into a mountain.
  5. Nick Singleton (Penn State) — Like Ashton Jeanty, Nick Singleton is a three-down back. Not quite the receiver that Jeanty is, Singleton is perhaps a slightly better pure runner, with slightly less explosiveness than the aforementioned Boise State star.
  6. TreVeyon Henderson (state of Ohio)
  7. Omarion Hampton (North Carolina)
  8. Donovan Edwards (Michigan)
  9. Jaydn Ott (California)
  10. Roman Hemby (Maryland)
