Rachael Ray revealed she recently ‘had a few bad falls’ after sparking concern from fans over her ‘slurred speech’.

In the debut episode of her podcast “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead,” released Tuesday, the celebrity chef told guest Jenny Mollen, “I’m a housewife. I like chores. I love being in the kitchen. I always work with my brain every day. I’m always writing something.

“But I really like chores. I like what people consider physical work. “I love making dinners, planning dinners, making lists,” she continued, before adding that she even likes to “help carry the wood.”

However, Ray said she has “had a few bad falls in the last few weeks” and “hasn’t done that in a while.”

While it’s unclear when the falls occurred, the 56-year-old previously worried fans when she appeared to have “slurred” speech in videos posted to her Instagram.

In a September clip, she spoke about hosting a dinner for the late Tony Bennett and his wife. However, her voice made netizens wonder if she was suffering from a health problem.

‘I love you, but are you okay? I’m seriously worried,” one user commented, while another asked, “Wait! What’s going on with Rachael Ray?

“Is she unclear or am I unclear,” a third person wrote.

‘Rachel is in a bit of trouble?! I hope someone is as concerned as I am?” a fourth commented.

Many also defended Ray, saying her speech could be attributed to her aging “just like the rest of us.”

“She’s aging well the normal way, no plastic surgery or doing it like everyone else… take care of real people… all the people judging how all these celebrities plastic surgery, breast, lip, but (sic) everything and she’s just when we get back to the natural So yeah this is a shock to all of you… Go Rachael, do your thing and thank you for showing us the real you,” one person wrote.

“My goodness, you are all perfect people who make the most horrible, hateful comments. MOVE!” a second commented.

Ray has never spoken out publicly about health issues in the past, but in 2008 she was forced to shut down claims that she had throat cancer.

“Rachael is the epitome of health. She is undergoing very minor surgery to remove a benign cyst on her vocal cords,” her rep, Charlie Dougiello, said at the time.

“It is a routine in-and-out procedure that she will undergo in early December, and it will not adversely affect her daytime filming or Food Network filming.”
