After two weeks of talking to teams about a potential trade involving Davante Adams, the Las Vegas Raiders finally found a partner on Tuesday. The New York Jets agreed to trade a conditional third-round pick to the Raiders for Adams and the timing couldn’t have been better for the Rams.

Why? Because their next opponent is the Raiders. Therefore, they no longer have to worry about game planning for one of the best receivers in football.

There was always a chance Adams would miss the game due to a hamstring injury that has kept him out the past three weeks, but the Rams still would have had to come up with a plan to slow down the two-time All-Pro. And with their questions in secondary school, that might not have been so easy to do.

Instead, Adams is already in New York and ready to get to work with Aaron Rodgers and the Jets.

Yes, the Rams will still have to face Adams in Week 16 when they visit the Jets on Dec. 22, but they would probably rather deal with him than this weekend in a must-win cross-over game at home.
