Rams head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Matthew Stafford discuss the 24-19 loss to the Packers

“A lot of things are happening that we have to figure out how we can learn from them more quickly. We’re dealing with some mental things that normally wouldn’t have happened here, but they are happening, and we have to take into account being able to figure out how to eliminate those before you can start winning games, you have to teach you how not to beat yourself.” – McVay

The Rams allowed two explosive plays against the Packers that scored or set up points. Kraft took a corner route 66 yards down the sideline to give the Packers a second-half lead after a Kyren Williams fumble, and wide receiver Jayden Reed hauled in a 53-yard bomb in the first half between three defenders who a touchdown from running back Josh Jacobs.

McVay said, “This is a tough call,” but he is proud of the group that fought to the end. He added that they need to “finish games and play consistently all the time” to be able to win these games on one possession and stop beating themselves.

Entering the bye week, McVay said they will “evaluate everything” from their position groups, schemes and execution on both sides of the ball.
