“This story has been updated to add new information.”

The Eagles are in Los Angeles on Sunday for a crucial game against the Rams, and could be forced to finish without star safety Reed Blankenship.

Blankenship was forced to leave the game during Philadelphia’s first defensive series after suffering a shoulder injury when he collided with cornerback Darius Slay while making a tackle on Rams running back Kyren Wiliams.

Blankenship has 38 tackles, three interceptions and five passes defended in 10 of 11 games played this season, and he has been replaced in the secondary by Tristin McCollum.

Update:

After a brief hiatus, Blankenship has returned to the lineup.
