The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newcomer Bozoma Sint Jan was married to husband Peter Saint John for a decade before his death in 2013.

“I am a widow,” Bozoma said Dorit Kemsley during the RHOBH season 14 will premiere in November 2024. The former Netflix CMO noted that she understood Dorit’s marital situation because she and Peter had separated before his death. (In May 2024 Dorit and husband PK Kemsley divorced after nine years.)

“The reason why I empathize is because we separated 10 years after our marriage,” Bozoma revealed. “We have never been divorced. But then he got sick and we reconciled. He had cancer and, you know, it’s complicated.”

Bozoma and Peter married in 2003 and had daughter Lael in 2009.

Their first meeting

Bozoma remembered meeting Peter in New York. They crossed paths “in the cafeteria of the building where we both worked,” she shared in a 2019 Instagram caption.

‘I ordered breakfast and, admittedly, took my time. He was impatient and also tried to think of a way to get my attention,” Bozoma recalled. ‘He shouted from the back of the line, ‘You look like a king, but this place isn’t yours. Hurry and order!’ Well…he managed to get my attention and piss me off royally. So it didn’t help his case when he tried to ask me out for a few days in a row.”

Bozoma Saint John received her diamond as the newest Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. Bravo confirmed in May 2024 that Bozoma would join returning RHOBH stars Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Garcelle Beauvais, Dorit Kemsley and Sutton Stracke for season 14. Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly will also return to the Bravo hit as “friends.” (…)

To marry

Peter proposed exactly a year after their first date. The couple married in June 2023 in a ceremony in New York City.

Expand their family

Bozoma gave birth to a stillborn daughter named Eve. The RHOBH star detailed her pregnancy and birth experience in her 2023 memoir, The Urgent Life: My Story of Love, Loss, and Survival.

Bozoma and Peter welcomed their rainbow baby, Lael, in May 2009.

Peter’s diagnosis

Bozoma and Peter were married for ten years before he was diagnosed with cancer in 2013. He died in December of that year.

“We had so many conversations, which I’m so grateful for,” she recalled during Talks at Google in May 2023. “I’m grateful. I am grateful for the moments to talk about life. … Life becomes very clear when we know the end is near.”
