I am an avid reader and self-taught investor. In the past I was an accountant in the maritime sector. Now I’m a happy retiree, passionate about writing and financial markets. Now that the children are older, I have time to continue my efforts: expanding my portfolio and developing my writing skills. At KD Research you will find tempting investment ideas that are not limited to region or sector. However, they all have some common characteristics: • They are overlooked. • They offer asymmetrical risk rewards. • They pay dividends with juicy yields. When I filter for new ideas, I look for at least two of the three presented. As an investor and analyst, I prefer shipping and mining companies. However, I will dive deep without hesitation if I come across a company from another sector that suits my investment style. My analytical approach focuses on the fundamentals. Remember, I was an accountant and I love scrambling numbers. Nevertheless, the fundamentals are not good enough to time the market. I add technical analysis to avoid being too early or too late to the party. I’m excited to join Seeking Alpha contributors and share my thoughts with SA’s thriving investment community. I am associated with existing author Banks and Beyond.
