• Saturday morning the gates of Burning Man were closed and the airport on the beach was also closed due to rain. The passing storm was expected to keep the airport closed until after 2 p.m. or later, but the gates will not reopen to the public until midnight tonight. • The California Highway Patrol announced today that a large-scale shoplifting operation has been discovered. A 35-year-old woman was arrested in Oakland. She owned the storage facility where she stored $450,000 worth of merchandise. (KPIX)
