CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A gray and foggy first day of fall.

We wake up to cloudy skies and scattered showers across Eastern Iowa. We have a mostly cloudy and foggy first day of fall with temperatures today staying in the 60s to 65s. The best chance for rain is in the morning, with light rain gradually tapering off in the afternoon. A few breaks in the clouds are possible tonight just before sunset. Tonight, lows will cool to the 40s and 50s with partly cloudy skies.

Monday some showers

Isolated showers and a mix of sun and clouds are expected for Monday. Highs on Monday will be close to seasonable, in the upper 60s and low 70s.

Mostly dry, but keep an eye on the end of the week

Dry conditions return to the area starting Tuesday and will persist for most of the workweek with highs in the 70s. However, we are looking at another chance for rain late in the week and possibly into next weekend due to a potential tropical system.
