Notre Dame needs to unleash that top-10 defense to contain Navy’s top-10 offense. The Irish have more size, depth and talent than Navy, but they will have to remain vigilant and disciplined to stop a creative offense. This version of Navy doesn’t run the option-only scheme of years past, but it’s still part of the team’s identity and Marcus Freeman and Al Golden have a lot of experience with that. Keep it under control, and the Irish can then dictate play on offense.
