Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix had a debut to forget.

Nix struggled throughout the game in the 26-20 loss to the Seahawks, making almost exclusively short passes and not posing any threat to the defense down the field. He looked very much like the rookie player he is.

A Broncos possession in the fourth quarter ended with Nix throwing a particularly bad interception with three Seahawks defenders in the area. Nix used his legs to lead a touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late.

Nix completed 26 of 42 passes for 138 yards, with no touchdowns and two interceptions, while also rushing five times for 35 yards and a touchdown.

Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith wasn’t great, but he did enough to keep the game alive aside from an early interception, and he also scored a touchdown on a career-long 34-yard run. Seattle running back Kenneth Walker surpassed 100 rushing yards and looked explosive with the ball in his hands.

The Seahawks should be happy with the win, but they also have to realize that they don’t benefit from having many of the opposing quarterbacks play as poorly as Nix did today.

The Broncos have reason to worry, as the second year with Sean Payton and the first year with Nix have gotten off to a rocky start.
