Sean McVay ends the presser with 1 word to describe Aries’ offense

Sean McVay isn’t happy with the way his offense played out on Monday night. No coach would be. They totaled 327 yards of offense, but for the second time in Matthew Stafford’s tenure, the Rams failed to score a single touchdown.

Their 23-15 loss to the Dolphins was deflating and potentially costly, sending them to 4-5 and under .500 once again. During his post-game press conference, McVay was asked what he was feeling in real time during the game, and “frustration” was the first word that came to mind.

The last question he received from the media was to evaluate and describe the state of the Rams offense.

He said one word: “Inconsistent.”

He wasn’t storming out by any means, but he was clearly frustrated with his offense’s performance – as he should be.

After scoring 30 points against the Vikings and 26 against the Seahawks over the past two weeks, the Rams were limited to five field goals and just 15 points.

Matthew Stafford was sacked four times, hit six times and the Dolphins racked up seven tackles to add another loss, with an interception and two forced fumbles.

There followed a bad snap that went over Stafford’s head, a lost fumble by Kyren Williams, a drop by Puka Nacua and poor play by Joe Noteboom at right tackle, to say the least. There were far too many mistakes across the board in a game that was very winnable thanks to another strong showing from the Rams defense.
