Shane Gillis hosts 27-city global comedy tour (EXCLUSIVE)

After a sold-out arena tour in eight cities this year, comedian Shane Gillis is hitting the road again.

The stand-up megastar will ring in the new year with “Shane Gillis Live,” a 27-city tour kicking off Jan. 10 at San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center. Gillis marks his biggest tour to date and will visit some of the biggest venues in North America and Europe, including the American Airlines Center in Dallas and the O2 in London.

Gillis’ tour, in partnership with Outback Presents, includes stops at arenas such as Amalie Arena in Tampa and 3Arena in Dublin. The shows follow Gillis’ Netflix special ‘Beautiful Dogs’, which landed in the Netflix Top 10 in five countries and spent two weeks in the US Top 10 list. Gillis also hosted “Saturday Night Live” in February.

The comedian was hired and then fired from “Saturday Night Live” in 2019 after offensive jokes he previously made on a podcast resurfaced online. But he remained in touch with “SNL” creator Lorne Michaels, who revealed in a Wall Street Journal interview last month that he was “angry” about the decision to fire Gillis, which was made by NBC brass. Michaels brought Gillis back to “SNL” for the season 49 hosting gig.

Since hitting that speed bump in his career, the Pennsylvania native has turned into a force in the stand-up space. His self-financed debut “Shane Gillis: Live in Austin” became a breakout hit for Netflix, with more than 30 million views. His 2023 Netflix follow-up, “Beautiful Dogs,” was produced by All Things Comedy and Gillis’ production company, Dad Sick Productions, which he runs with his longtime comedy partner and fellow Philadelphian John McKeever.

Gillis also stars in the Netflix comedy series ‘Tires’, which Gillis made together with McKeever. He is currently working on season 2 and continues to co-host “Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast” with comedian Matt McCusker. The show is the #1 Patreon podcast in the world, with over 500 million downloads every month.

Gillis is represented by CAA, Range Media and the law firm Yorn, Levine, Barnes.
