Sidney Crosby scores 600th career goal

Finally, Sidney Crosby has scored his 600th career goal in the National Hockey League.

Crosby, who seemed to be sitting at 599 for a long time, scored No. 600 on Saturday night against the Utah Hockey Club.

Sidney Crosby joins Alex Ovechkin as only the second active player in the league to score 600 or more goals.

The Penguins captain is the 21st player in NHL history to reach the 600 mark.

The team shared a video on social media celebrating Crosby’s 600th goal shortly after he scored the goal.

Crosby has now scored a goal against every NHL franchise with Saturday night’s goal against Utah, which moved there from Arizona this year.

55 of Crosby’s goals came against the Philadelphia Flyers, while the majority of the remaining goals came against the Penguins’ traditional rivals from New York, New Jersey and Washington.

Alex Ovechkin, Steve Yzerman and Mario Lemieux are the only players to score more goals than Crosby while doing so with one team.
