South Carolina vs. Oklahoma: Live Scores and Updates

The Gamecocks are heading to Norman, Oklahoma for the second week in a row this season for their first ever meeting against the Oklahoma Sooners. Both the Gamecocks and Sooners want to find themselves back in the win column.

South Carolina is 3-3 on the season in year five under Shane Beamer. Meanwhile, Oklahoma comes into this game with a 4-2 record under head coach Brent Venables, someone Gamecocks fans know well from his time at Clemson. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:45 PM (ET) with Tom Hart, Cole Cubelic and Alyssa Lang calling the game live on the SEC Network.

First quarter:
(0-0): Oklahoma receives the opening kickoff.
(0-0): Michael Hawkins Jr. of Oklahoma throws an interception on the first play of the game to South Carolina’s Nick Emmanwori.
(7-0): Sellers open the drive with a huge scramble to get the Gamecocks to the red zone. Rocket Sanders shoots it in from three meters away. First opening drive touchdown Oklahoma has given up all year.
(14-0): Demetrius Knight Jr. from South Carolina blows Michael Hawkins Jr. on and causes a fumble. Tonka Hemingway is there for the scoop and score.
(21-0): Hawkins Jr. is hit as he throws and the ball is picked off and returned for a touchdown by South Carolina’s Nick Emmanwori.
(21-0): Oklahoma makes a QB change to Jackson Arnold and helps get a first down by leaning on the running game, but the Gamecocks defense gets the sack on the next third down. South Carolina gets the ball on the 22 yard line.
(21-0): South Carolina moves the ball on offense, but is stopped in midfield. Sooners get the ball back to their offense at the 20-yard line.
(21-0): Debo Williams ends the Sooner drive with a sack on Jackson Arnold.
(21-0): A quick three and out by the South Carolina offense gives the ball back to Oklahoma.
(21-0): Oklahoma attempts a fake punt in their own territory and it is stopped by Demetrius Knight Jr. South Carolina gets the ball in plus territory.
(24-0): Oklahoma’s defense stands tall and forces a Gamecocks field goal.
End of the first quarter.

Second quarter:
(24-0)
: Oklahoma cannot pick up the third down and has to punt it away.
(24-0): Quick three and out due to the Gamecocks offense.
(24-3): The Sooner attack passes midfield for the first time in the game. Able to come away with a field goal for their first points of the day.
(32-3): Sellers find TE Joshua Simon for a 33-yard touchdown pass. The Gamecocks go for two and convert the try.
(32-3): South Carolina finds their fifth sack of the day and quickly gets the ball back for their offense.
(32-3): South Carolina gets the ball within field goal range. A fake field goal was stopped by the Sooners’ special teams.
