Paradise Beverages yesterday launched a special edition can through its Fiji Gold brand in collaboration with the Fiji Rugby Union.

With this, the entities demonstrated their continued partnership in support of Fiji’s unwavering passion for rugby and deep-rooted community ties.

“The can features the Fiji Gold logo and the FRU logo. I have to stress that it is exactly the beer, just in a different can. Fiji Gold and Fiji Bitter have been sponsoring rugby for almost 50 years and the partnership with FRU underlines the commitment to supporting rugby at both grassroots and professional level.

“The special limited edition can pays tribute to the incredible journey of our rugby teams who have brought immense pride to the nation and global recognition for Fiji. From grassroots beginnings to our national teams, Fiji, Fijiana 7s, Fijiana 15s and the Flying Fijians have shown the world what true Fijian spirit looks like,” said Mike Spencer, Managing Director of Paradise Beverages.

Fiji Rugby Union Interim Chairman Peter Mazey echoed similar sentiments, adding that the partnership embodied the spirit of the nation and its passion for rugby.

“This special edition of Can marked the first of its kind, it is a testament to the deep-rooted connection between Fiji Rugby, Paradise Beverages and the community we serve. It is a commitment to advancing rugby at every level, particularly from grassroots development to the national teams in the Flying Fijians, Fijiana, Drua and our celebrated Fiji 7s teams.

In March this year, the FRU and Paradise Beverages signed a two-year agreement that saw the launch of the Fiji Gold branded beer as ‘the official beer of Fiji Rugby’.
