When is daylight saving time 2024?

Daylight saving time begins every year on the second Sunday in March, when the clocks are moved forward one hour. On the first Sunday in November, when daylight saving time ends, they return to standard time.

This year, daylight saving time ends on Sunday, November 3 at 2 a.m., putting us back on standard time. When the clock reaches 2 a.m., it goes back one hour to 1 a.m

The ‘spring ahead’ of 2025 is on Sunday, March 9.

Who takes daylight saving time into account?

At least 30 states have considered or are considering legislation or resolutions related to daylight saving time in 2024, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Texas is not one of these states.

Only two states, Arizona and Hawaii, have permanent standard time.
