    Summit County OHSAA Football Playoffs Unofficial Qualifiers

    Led by two 10-0 teams, 19 Greater Akron high school football teams are poised to be among the 448 teams to extend their seasons into the Ohio High School Athletic Association playoffs.

    The OHSAA will officially announce the playoff qualifiers, as well as the first round matchups, later today.

    Here’s a look at the 15 Summit County teams and four other region teams expected to be in the field. Included are each team’s unofficial seed and first-round opponents, according to joeeitel.com’s latest projections.

    The matches in the first round will be played on Friday evening at 7 p.m., with numbers 1 to 8 being the home team.

    Division II, Region 5

    • 1 Walsh Jesuit (10-0) vs. Willoughby South (3-7)
    • 2 Hoban (8-2) vs. 15 Firestone (5-5)
    • 3 Nordonia (8-2) vs. 14 Solon (3-7)
    • 6 Green (6-4) vs. 11. Riverbank (4-6)
    • 9 Hudson (5-5) at Boardman (6-4)

    Division II, Region 6

    • 2 Highland (10-0) and 15 Fremont Ross (5-5)
    • 5 Wadsworth (9-1) vs. 12 North Royalton (5-5)

    Division III, Region 9

    • 3 CVCA (8-2) vs. 14 University Schools (5-5)
    • 4 Aurora (9-1) vs. 13 Bedford (5-4)
    • 11 Tallmadge (7-3) and 6 Chardon (7-2)
    • 15 East (6-4) at 2 Gilmour Academy (9-1)

    Division III, Region 10

    • 8 Copley (5-5) vs. 9 Revere (6-4)

    Division IV, Region 13

    • 6 Northwestern (8-2) vs. 11 Orange (7-3)
    • 10 Norton (7-3) and 7 Struthers (8-2)
    • 15 Buchtel (4-6) and 2 Lake County Perry (9-1)

    Division V, Region 17
