(KFVS) – It’s going to be another pleasant sunny, mild and dry October day in the Heartland.

Afternoon temperatures range from 75 to 80 degrees.

The wind will also be lighter today.

Mostly clear tonight, followed by a weak cold front Friday and Friday nights.

Models still show some isolated showers and thunderstorms on Friday, but the chance of measuring rainfall at any individual spot appears to be about 20 percent.

After the front passes, the weekend will be mostly clear, pleasant and slightly cooler in the upper 60s with lows in the low 40s.

A warming trend will bring temperatures back to near 80 degrees next week, but models further out show there’s a good chance of showers on Halloween. Stay tuned for updates.
