Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter perform ‘Espresso’ mash-up in New Orleans

Singers also perform Swift’s “Is It Over Now?” and Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” during the Surprise Songs special section

Taylor Swift brought out surprise guest (and former Eras Tour opening act) Sabrina Carpenter during the Surprise Songs portion of her New Orleans concert on Saturday night.

I’m going to sing a song that’s not mine, but it’s someone I really love, so I’m going to see how loud you can sing the song,” Swift told the crowd . . β€œIt’s in my head and it would feel good if I knew that 65,000 other people had this song in their heads just like me.”

Swift, on acoustic guitar, then launched into a few lines from Carpenter’s “Espresso,” before pausing and going off on a “tangent.” “I love my girlfriend and I’m so proud of Sabrina,” Swift said.

After a brief conversation, Carpenter took the stage, where she joined Swift for a mash-up of “Espresso,” followed by 1989 (Taylor’s version)“Is it over now?” and Carpenter’s hit “Please Please Please.”
