What’s a date night but a chance to drop hints about your upcoming re-recorded album? Taylor Swift seized that opportunity last night during dinner with Travis Kelce at Italian Torrisi in SoHo.

Swift, as is her wont, wore an outfit full of symbolism – all referencing the upcoming release of Reputation (Taylor’s version). She opted for a corset top and matching miniskirt from Annie’s Ibiza, each priced at $795 each, made from deadstock chartreuse velvet.

But it was her accessories that took the look from a subtle Easter egg to an outright proclamation. Swift accessorized her skirt set with a black Roberto Cavalli monogram bag, which was stylized as an R (for Reputation, of course) with interlocking hoses. Keeping the snake motif going, she added a pair of teetering black Versace platform sandals with the brand’s gold metallic Medusa logo. For those who need a refresher on Greek mythology, the gorgon Medusa is depicted with snakes for hair. For those who need a Taylor Swift refresher of knowledge: In 2016, her social media comments were flooded with snake emojis after Kim Kardashian indirectly called Swift a snake on Twitter. She has since reclaimed the snake and used it as part of her Reputation myth-making.

Kelce did not participate in the promo of the sartorial album and looked much further 1989 than Reputation. He opted for a sky blue knitted Marni polo and khaki carpenter trousers, which he paired with bright white sneakers. Although Kelce is quite the fashionista himself, he certainly can’t blame us for keeping an eye on Swift. After all, we just live in the world (Taylor’s version).
