“We have our crews and multiple field resources available to respond to any outages during this latest round of heat waves,” said Thomas Jacobus, SCE’s Chief Manager of Business Resiliency. “Our teams are also on alert for any fires or emergencies that may occur as a result of these high temperatures.”

When high temperatures persist for several days and customers are running air conditioners all day, electrical equipment has less time to cool down and could potentially fail. If there are heat-related outages, crews will work as quickly and safely as possible to make the necessary repairs so that power can be restored to customers.
