Teenager believed to have been found safe together with person she met online

LOGAN COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) – Arkansas State Police said a 14-year-old boy believed to be with someone she met online has been found safe.

On Friday, October 18, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office activated an AMBER Alert for Trixie Studer, of Ratcliff, Arkansas. She was last seen that evening around 7:30 p.m.

A news release stated that Studer was believed to be with 14-year-old Sam Smith, whom she met online.

She was said to be traveling with Smith in a silver Kia SUV with black wheels and the license plate removed.

ASP said Smith purchased gasoline on the Handy Way in Caulksville, Arkansas in Logan County on the evening of October 18. He was reported missing on Thursday, October 17 in Wadesboro, North Carolina.

On Saturday, October 19, ASP said Studer was found safe in the company of Smith and the AMBER Alert had been disabled.

According to ASP, both Studer and Smith were considered endangered at the time.
