Texas Longhorns vs. Colorado State Rams: Live Updates During the Game

AUSTIN — The No. 4 Texas Longhorns host the Colorado State Rams on Saturday in Austin to open the regular season.

Texas officially begins its first season in the SEC and fourth under head coach Steve Sarkisian. The Longhorns are coming off their first-ever College Football Playoff berth and will now look to get there by starting with a non-conference win over the Rams.

Sarkisian praised CSU coach Jay Norvell and the Rams’ offense, which is led by quarterback () and receiver Tory Horton.

“They know their system really well,” Sarkisian said. “And then, because you know your system really well, they know the answers to the test when you try to give them a different look. So I think it’s important that we’re tighter in coverage, trying to influence the quarterback and then having the ability to mix things up, to try to create a little bit of hesitation.”
