According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Trump is tired of the “cold war” between Howard Lutnick and Scott Bessent for the job of Treasury Secretary and is now looking to others.

One of those is TV personality Larry Kudlow, who served as director of the National Economic Council during the second half of Trump’s first term.

The report also states that Trump discussed Robert Lighthizer, who served as US trade representative during Trump’s first term and is reportedly returning, and Marc Rowan, CEO of Apollo Global Management.

Trump has been filling Cabinet posts quickly and we could get an announcement this weekend.

“The final outcome was unclear. Trump had not made a decision as of late Thursday evening, the people said. He is expected to continue discussions with candidates on Friday.”

John Paulson dropped out of contention this week.
