KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City-area homes of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce were burglarized last month, according to police reports.

The Cass County, Missouri, Sheriff’s Office said Mahomes’ home was burglarized shortly after midnight on October 6, but did not provide further details as the investigation continues.

According to Leawood, Kansas police, Kelce’s home was burglarized the next day, October 7. Police said damage at Kelce’s home totaled $21,000, including $20,000 in cash.

Mahomes confirmed Wednesday that his home had recently been burglarized, but declined to go into further details.

“It’s obviously frustrating, it’s disappointing, but I mean, I can’t go into too many details because the investigation is still ongoing, but it’s obviously something that you don’t want to happen to anyone other than yourself,” Mahomes said. .

As to whether he or his family were home during the burglary, Mahomes said, “I can’t say much about the details of everything as the investigation is still ongoing, but I’m sure that will be discussed at some point. about.”

The burglaries occurred the day before and on the day of the Chiefs’ 26-13 home victory over the New Orleans Saints on Oct. 7, a game where Kelce’s superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift, watched from the stands. No injuries were reported in either case.
