On Thursday, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced at a news conference that he will seek the brutal sentencing of Lyle and Erik Menendez, who were convicted of murdering their parents in 1989 and are serving life sentences without chance of parole. If a court agrees to the sentence, the brothers will immediately be eligible for parole.
