The winter storm will bring 1 to 3 feet of additional snow to Colorado

Tonight’s forecast:
New warnings are in effect tonight for our next round of accumulating snow. WINTER STORM WARNINGS in pink and WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES in purple are in effect until 5 a.m. Saturday. Expect snow showers to wax and wane in intensity over the next few days, with intermittent heavy snowfall, creating hazardous travel conditions.

Colorado Springs forecast: Low: 20; High: 31;
WINTER STORM WARNING in effect all day Thursday. The snow will continue on and off throughout the day. The wind comes from the N at speeds of 10 km/h to 25 km/h.

Pueblo forecast: Low: 25; High: 32;
WINTER STORM WARNING in effect all day Thursday. There is a chance of snow showers with a N wind of 16 km/h with gusts up to 30 km/h.

Canon City forecast: Low: 23; High: 33;
WINTER STORM WARNING in effect all day Thursday. Snow will fall on Thursday with a N wind of 5 km/h, gusts up to 16 km/h.

Woodland Park forecast: Low: 8; High: 25;
WINTER STORM WARNING in effect all day Thursday. Occasional snow showers on Thursday with a N wind of 5 km/h with gusts up to 10 km/h.

Tri-Lakes forecast: Low: 14; High: 30;
WINTER STORM WARNING in effect all day Thursday. Intermittent snow showers on Thursday with N winds of 16 km/h with gusts up to 40 km/h.

Plains forecast: Low: 1920s; High: 1930s;
WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect all day Thursday for the counties highlighted in pink above. During the day there will be intermittent snow showers on the plains, with winds gusting from the N at a speed of 16 km/h and gusts up to 30 km/h.

Walsenburg and Trinidad forecast: Low: 22/21; High: 31/33;
WINTER STORM WARNING in effect all day Thursday. The snow showers will continue and be heavy at times. The wind is from the N with gusts up to 25 km/h.

Bergen forecast: Low: teenagers; High: 1920s/30s;
WINTER STORM WARNING in effect all day Thursday for the pink regions above, WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in effect all day for the purple zones. Intermittent snow showers and cloudy conditions with hazardous travel are expected.
