The Yankees’ dugout video is the first dramatic twist in Juan Soto’s free agency

Each Yankee quickly disappeared into the depths of the stadium after collapsing in a 7-6 Game 5 loss that handed the World Series to the Dodgers, extending their drought to 15 seasons.

Everyone except Juan Soto.

The star righty took time in the dugout as he watched the Dodgers enjoy their first championship since 2020 on the Yankee Stadium diamond.

Before he left, he pointed to the sky in a moment that might be his last in pinstripes.

Soto, who went 1-for-2 with three walks on Wednesday night and had an OPS of 1.079 during the postseason, will enter the offseason as a free agent.

He can expect a wild bidding war for his talents from the Yankees, cross-town rival Mets and even the Dodgers who just ended his shot at a second championship.

Soto was on a one-year, $31 million contract for the 2024 season – his first with the Yankees – and now the biggest question on many’s minds is whether he will stick around to try to turn it around or go elsewhere.

He has insisted he enjoyed his experience in The Bronx but has offered no significant clues about his future.

That may not last much longer now that the offseason is just around the corner.
