PHILADELPHIA − The Eagles have shown the offense many have been waiting for over the past three games.

Over those three games, all wins, the Eagles averaged 28.3 points per game and 182 rushing yards. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has completed 71.2% of his passes, for a passer rating of 127.4. He has 9 total touchdowns and zero turnovers.

As the Eagles began their game on Sunday, right tackle Lane Johnson revealed that he and fellow offensive linemen Jordan Mailata and Landon Dickerson went to head coach Nick Sirianni during the Eagles’ bye week and begged him to run the ball more.

Johnson, who is in his 12th season, said he appreciated Sirianni’s openness and willingness to listen to his players.

“It’s about production. It’s about having a great offense,” Johnson said. “It’s not about saying, ‘Hey, you’re in the wrong here.’ We’re all in this together, so everyone gains if we win, and everyone loses if we lose. For us, it’s about getting the offense going and putting our best foot forward.

“Nick has always been a great communicator. When something has gone wrong, we have communicated well. We all want to win games.”

Hurts said “everyone has a voice” in what’s going on. Sirianni, meanwhile, said listening to his players is what a good coach does.

“We go through our processes together,” Sirianni said. “I’m not going to say this percentage or that percentage (for player input) or anything like that, but as a coach you try to assess what your players are doing well. You do that based on practice. You do that based on matches, and where you are successful at, and what you are not successful at.

“You also do that by talking to the players.”
