Tip for today’s Connections answer

Instead of jumping straight to the answer, let’s start with some tips for today’s Connections puzzle:

• Yellow – Any ___ is good ___.
• Vegetable – You have a unique copy.
• Blue – Clock in.
• Purple – What word could come next?
• Opacity belongs to Yellow, Perspective belongs to Green and Slack belongs to Blue.

Remember: Yellow is the easiest group to find, followed by Green and Blue, with Purple being the most difficult set of words to connect.

I’ve been following today’s Connections! I first dissolved blue, and after some thinking I was quickly able to merge green, yellow, and finally purple.

What to play after Connections?

The obvious answer to this question is Wordle, but if you’ve already solved that today, The New York Times offers other games. When it comes to word-based games, The NYTimes has the Mini Crossword, Spelling Bee, Letter Boxed, and Strands, which are still in beta. If you fancy a break from words, you can also try Tiles – a motif matching game – or Sudoku.

Outside of The NYTimes, there’s Semantle, where you have to find the secret word by guessing its meaning. Spelling doesn’t count in Semantle, but you should pay attention to the numerical value of your guesses to map your path to the answer. However, if you prefer to stick with the Connections format, then it’s worth checking out Puzzgrid. Here you will find hundreds of Connections-style puzzles, but the special thing is that you only have three minutes to solve them.
