Today’s favorite looks are unrecognizable as Beetlejuice, with the presenters pulling out all the stops for Halloween

Fans of today’s show were in for a treat again this Halloween as the much-loved presenters dazzled in a range of incredible Halloween costumes.

During the Thursday morning show, people like Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager transformed into Jack and Rose from Titanic.

Meanwhile, Savannah Guthrie gave the perfect nod to one of the film’s most famous lawyers, iconic Legally Blonde character Elle Woods.

The biggest sensation, however, came when Dylan Dreyer and a fellow presenter dressed up as characters from Tim Burton’s 1988 classic, Beetlejuice.

Just like the movie, Dylan like that Lydia Deetz (originally played by Winona Ryder) summoned the mischievous demon from the afterlife by saying his name three times “Beetlejuice!” Beetle juice! Beetle juice!’

Instead of Michael Keaton appearing as a character, it was Al Roker who appeared on screen doing an incredible impression of everyone’s favorite ghoul.

The pair then playfully recreated the memorable dance scene with Harry Belafonte’s hit Banana Boat (Day-O) playing in the background.

Thanks to the movie, the song has since become one of the popular songs during the Halloween season.

Viewers were immediately delighted by the sight, as one person on X, formerly Twitter, wrote: ‘Amazing. Absolutely amazing.’

‘Well done guys!!’ another commented on Instagram, while one user added: ‘This is fantastic (laughing emoji)’

Costume designer Staci Greenbaum told Today that Al’s Beetlejuice costume took some work to get right, including distressing the striped fabric used in creating his iconic suit.

She explained, “(We had to) find the right weight that would be good for a suit, and then age it and mess it up to make it make sense with the makeup and the hair, because he’s dead, he’s moldy.” ‘

The designer added that Al’s Beetlejuice look even required a trip to the craft store to pick up moss to embellish his suit.

The film’s director Tim Burton, 65, added Jenna Ortega, Justin Therouxand Willem Dafoe for the cast – as well as his real-life girlfriend, Monica Bellucci.

While Michael Keeton, Catherine O’Hara and Winona Ryder thrilled fans by reprising their roles for the film.
