Hey, there! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means: it’s time for another round Connections!

In case you’re wondering, regular readers: yes, Scotland beat Poland in an important football-non-soccer match on Monday. I am very pleased that the results are starting to be in line with our recent good performance. I just wish we didn’t have to wait until March for our next international matches. It would be nice to keep this confidence and momentum going!

Today NYT Connections hints and answers for wednesday november 20th are coming soon.

Play connections

Connections is a free, popular New York Times daily word game. Every day you get a new puzzle at midnight. You can play on the NYT website or Games app.

You will be shown a grid of 16 words. Your job is to divide them into four groups of four by discovering the connections between them. The groups can be things like clickable items, names for study participants, or words preceded by a body part.

There is only one solution to each puzzle, and you have to be careful when it comes to words that fit into more than one category. You can play the words in any order so you might see the connections between them.

Each group has a color code. The yellow group is usually the easiest to figure out, blue and green fall in the middle, and the purple group is usually the most difficult. The purple group often uses puns.

Select four words that you think go together and press Send. If you make a guess and you’re wrong, you lose a life. When you’re close to the right group, you might see a message saying you’re just one word away from the right group, but you still need to figure out which one to swap.

If you make four mistakes, the game is over. Let’s make sure this doesn’t happen with some tips and, if you’re really struggling, today’s information Connections answers. As with Word and other similar games, it’s easy to share results with your friends on social media and group chats.

If you have a NYT All Access or Games subscription, you can access the Connections archive. This includes every previous game of Connectionsso you can go back and play the games you missed.

Apart from the first 60 or so games, you should be able to find my hints for each grid via Google if you need them! Just click here and add the date of the game for which you need clues or the answers to the search query.

Seeing PLAY and STREAM close together quickly brought the greens to mind. However, I wasn’t entirely sure what was going to happen with HOWL, BARK, and SNARL. I tried to guess with STRAIN and I was one away. Damn.

I stepped away from my computer for a moment to recalibrate and refill my water bottle (don’t forget to hydrate!). As soon as I came back, I saw the purple colors. I didn’t think those four words would make up the most difficult group on the table, but alas.

Then I realized where I made the mistake with the yellow colors. I got that group and then the blues (which in retrospect should have been easy) to extend my streak.

That’s all it takes for today Connections clues and answers. Be sure to check out my blog for tips and the solution for Thursday’s game if you need it.

PS I quite like Paramore’s cover of Talking Heads’ ‘Burning Down The House’. David Byrne returned the favor with a great version of ‘Hard Times’. They make for a powerful (and, more importantly, fun!) one-two punch:
